Scratch Man

Congratulations to Paraic Connolly on his recent achievement of returning to a scratch handicap. A fine finish gave Paraic a 36 hole total of 147 (+1) on a tough Skerries golf course which was hosting it's annual Senior Scratch Cup last Saturday the 4th of August. Paraic was  4 under par for the last 5 holes of his second 18. This ensured he claimed a 5th place finish in a competition which attracts some of the best low h/cap amateur golfers in Leinster. Following on from that, Paraic proved his new handicap would not be a hindrance as he then claimed 3rd place in the Invitation Mixed Foursomes on Bank Holiday Monday, capping off a great weekend of golf for him. He will be a hot favourite to capture the Corn Ui Cheallaigh (Club Championship) later this month when he defends the tiltle he won last year. - Well done Paraic
