Singles:

Single games are played by 2 players. “Home-Top” and “Away – Bottom”

A Marker must be used in all singles games.

A list of members willing to Mark is posted in the Pavilion. I would urge you to add your name to this list.  It really helps

It is generally the responsibility of the HOME player to organise the match with the Away player and organise the Marker for all ILBA games.

However for internal club games the responsibility is shared,  if for whatever reason a match has not been organised or a marker sought, then both players will be disqualified from the competition 15mins after 6.30pm on the posted closing date.  Any player or Team turning up on the closing date where a game has not been organised will get a walkover if opposition does not turn up as per ILBA rules.

Singles matches shall be played to 21 Shots using 4 bowls each (or as prescribed by the Bowling  Competitions Committee at the beginning of the tournament).

Where handicaps apply the lower handicapped player add the handicap difference to the card & board at the start of the game.

First player to achieve a score of 21 shots will win.

Pairs :

Pairs matches shall be played to 18 ends using 4 bowls (as prescribed by the Bowling  Competitions Committee at the beginning of the tournament).

Where handicaps apply, the handicap of the lower pair of players are added and total is subtracted from oppositions players joint handicap.  The result is then divided by 2.  This points difference is added to the lower teams starting score card and board.  Highest score after 18 ends win.

“Any Handicaps where result is 1/2 (.5) or higher will be rounded up, below .5 rounded down”

If draw results play another end to decide.
