Congratulations to our Junior Member, Christopher Johnston, who won the Flogas Irish Open Junior Golf Tour held at Roganstown Golf & Country Club with a stableford score of 77 points over 36 holes, representing a fantastic 4 over par gross, with a playing handicap of 9.
The Junior Girls’ Captain Poppy Norton along with Elise Cunningham attended an interactive workshop hosted by the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Emma Blaine in the Mansion House on Thursday 15th May. It was sponsored by Dublin City Council Sport and Wellbeing partnership They wanted to listen to teenage girls involved in sport from a number of clubs across the city. They were given the opportunity to share their sporting experiences, highlight barriers that they face and share their ideas on how Dublin City Council can support teen girls in clubs across Dublin.
They met Irish rugby internationals Aoife Wafer and Aoife O’Dowd, and Dublin GAA players Niamh Conlon and Aisling Groarke, They were witness to the announcement of the winner of the Player of the Championship, Women’s Six Nations Award, Aoife Wafer. It was lovely for them to watch a very surprised and emotional Aoife accept her award.
Poppy and Elise were wonderful ambassadors for Clontarf Golf Club at this event.
