The Clontarf Mixed Pairs Tournament took place during the week beginning Sunday 15th June with the finals being held on Sunday 22nd June.  In his speech congratulating the winners and all those who took part, Captain Aidan Foy said that to mark the Centenary of Clontarf Bowling Club and to honour Women in Sport, it was decided that it would be a mixed competition this year.  32 teams took part and it is hoped that they all had an enjoyable time and will take part again next year.

Sarah Kelly and Daniel Loughran from Crumlin Bowling Club were the winners having beaten Patricia Fitzpatrick and Michael Keegan from Bray Bowling Club in the final.  The beaten semi-finalists were Noleen Kelly and John Leonard from Crumlin Bowling Club and Kevin Marshall and Helen Cummins from Ierne Bowling Club.

The success of the competition was due in no small way to the Sponsors and Captain Aidan encouraged everyone to thank them with their support.

There was a great atmosphere in the Bowling Club all week with many supporters enjoying great bowling and exciting matches.  Thank you to all the supporters and participants and we look forward to welcoming you all again next year.
