Metropolitan Cup – Clontarf narrowly defeated by Castle Golf Club

Trailing 1 – 6 from the first leg in Castle Golf Club, despite some very difficult conditions last Saturday, Clontarf won the second leg 6 – 1 to force a three hole playoff. The playoff ended in a tie, resulting in a sudden death extra hole, which was won by Castle Golf Club.

We are very fortunate to have Members who put themselves forward to play inter club golf every year. We are also very fortunate to have Members willing to take on the difficult and rewarding job of managing these teams.

A special thanks to all those who attended matches during the season, providing great support to the players and the managers and to those who helped make our course playable last Saturday, with some great work done with rakes and squeegees.
