CHANGE IN TIMESHEET GOING LIVE
Over the last few days we have had problems with the BRS Booking System, as indeed had many Clubs throughout the country, and taking into account the information and advice they have given us today, we will move the opening of our timesheets from 7.00pm to 8.15pm THIS EVENING.
ADVICE RECEIVED FROM BRS TODAY:
“Unfortunately we are in a time of unprecedented demand on our servers. We are consistently on a daily basis well over our peak busy period of 2019. We have taken some huge steps to improving services which have seen our services largely maintained and available. At peak times (peak on the hour times) like 19:00 as per the screenshot or 08:00 for your casual go live it would be anticipated that the software may be slower than usual due to competitions and casual timesheets going live all over the UK and Ireland. Those are the most popular times.
Based on your go live time we had 100 golf clubs scheduled to go live at the same time. Your own Club has over 1,100 registered Members. So if you take even half of that (500 x 100) gives you 50,000 Members trying to book a tee time at the exact same time which has an impact.
Your competitions are also set to go live "on the hour" at 7pm. Yesterday there were 75 clubs going live at that time. I would advise against this if you want the best experience for your Members at this time.
My advice would be to consider implementing a different go live time even for a trial period until things settle down. At 8:15pm for example, there is currently no club set to go live and this would make a huge difference for the Members booking experience.”
Signed: Martin (BRS Support Team).
Timesheets therefore will NOW OPEN AT 8.15pm this evening for Friday, Saturday and Sunday (5th, 6th and 7th June).
The timesheets have been set up in the Competition section of the BRS Booking System, where a waiting list system is available. Members may enter multiple times on the waiting lists on which they are available.
MEMBERS CAN BOOK ONLY ONE SLOT OVER THE THREE DAYS.
This is to ensure that as many of our 1,000 Members as possible, who are eligible to use the golf course, will have the opportunity of booking a slot.
